Hubungan Pengetahuan Lansia Tentang Pengaturan Diet Dengan Hipertensi Di Puskesmas Perkotaan Bukittinggi Tahun 2015

Hypertension is the increase in systolic and diastolic blood pressure consistently above 140/90 mmHg. The purpose of this study is to see whether there is a connection arrangement diet in elderly with hypertension. This study is a survey research with cross sectional Analytics. The population is the elderly who are in the working area with a population Urban Health Center 178 elderly. Sampling using simple random sampling where the number of respondents in 64 people get older. The analysis in this study using Chi-square test to determine the relationship of the variables studied. The result of research indicating that for 28 elderly (43.8%) have low knowledge, 20 elderly (31.3%) have moderate knowledge, and 16 elderly (25.0%) had high knowledge. Results of analysis with chi-square test is obtained p = 0.904, where p <0.05 so that it can be concluded that Ho accepted and Ha rejected. It is indicating no significant correlation between knowledge about the diet of elderly with hypertension in Bukittinggi 2015 Urban health centers. In order to increase knowledge of the elderly about the diet it is expected that the health personnel and cadre's urban health centers for the elderly can provide counseling about health-related information, especially about the diet of the elderly.
