Based on the data obtained from the Medical Record Arosuka Solok District Hospital in 2012 found that the amount of labor as much as 447 deliveries and 97 (21.7%) of which were labor with SC action, whereas in 2013 the number of births was 469 births and 104 (22.2 %) of whom are delivery with the use of pharmacological action SC obtained 79.5% and 20.5% non-pharmacological. Management of non-pharmacological pain used include the use of relaxation, hypnosis, movement and position changes, massage. The purpose of the study to determine differences in pain scale before and after the implementation of the breath relaxation techniques and massage on postoperative patients in the obstetrics Sectio Caesarea In Space Hospital Midwifery Arosuka Kabupaten Solok in 2014. Quasi-experimental research that is, researchhas beenconductedon May 12through June 142014 andis theentirepopulation ofpostoperativepatientsSectioCaesareainobstetricshospitalroomArosukato16people. Data collection usingthe observation sheet. whichcontains thecharacteristics of the respondentstoobtain dataregardingpostoperative painSectioCaesareabefore and afterdeep breathingrelaxationtechniquesandmassage.The result showed an average pain scale prior to breath in and massage techniques are being scale and after a deep breath and massage techniques mild pain scale. Statistical tests were no significant differences between the implementation of relaxation techniques and massage to decrease pain scale p value = 0.00001 and no influence in the implementation of breath and massage techniques to decrease pain scale p value 0.402.It is expected that the hospital can make the planning and development of health care services to patients in improving quality of care , particularly in the provision of deep breathing relaxation techniques and massage for the reduction of postoperative pain in patients Sectio Caesarea.
