Surgery is a stressor that can cause stress physiological (neuroendocrine response) and psychological stress (anxiety and fear). Anxiety is a feeling of concern with the emotional state that does not have a specific object. One of the most developed anxiety therapy today is psychoeducational therapy that leads to religious or so- called "psikoreligius" as murotal therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of therapy murotal patient preoperative anxiety levels in patient wards Surgical Hospital Dr. Achmad Mochtar Bukittinggi in 2016. This research was conducted in March-April 2016 using a design approach Quasi Experiment with Non-Randomized Control Group Pretest Posttest Design. The population in this study were all patients pre operation and samples of this research are 30 people with 15 people the intervention group and 15 batches of control that met the inclusion criteria and eklusi.pengumpulan data using HRS-A questioner and observation sheet. Of the 15 respondents in the intervention group showed statistical test by using Paired Sample t-Test p value its value 0.001> 0.05 means that there sesilih significant difference between the level of anxiety before and after therapy is given murotal in the intervention group and 15 respondents control group obtained p value of its 0709, means there is no difference significant difference in the control group before and after therapy. With the results of this research are expected murotal therapy may be one for nursing intervention to reduce patient anxienty before surgery.
